August Bank Holiday – Leeds, Reading, Carfest South & Big Feastival – Last chance to apply!

Posted on Thursday, August 19, 2021

August Bank Holiday is one of the busiest times of the year for the Event & Festival industry. We’ll be working our socks off over the long weekend, providing the following services to…

Leeds Festival – Traffic Management, Bramham Park (25th – 30th Aug)

Reading Festival – Traffic Management, Little John’s Farm (25th – 30th Aug)

Carfest South – Waste Management, Laverstock Park Farm (27th – 31st Aug)

The Big Feastival – Waste Management, Alex James Farm (27th – 31th Aug)

It’s the final big push with a spattering of positions left for the lucky few who get their applications in! You can do this through your DCSS PAAM profile, or, feel free to contact the office to discuss any questions you may have.

A quick reminder list…

Tent gear – do you have all your pegs?

Footwear – waterproof? Spare socks?

Sunscreen and snacks – we’ll provide a meal provision while on shift, but we always recommend bringing a few extra snacks and lots of sunscreen!

Travel – make sure to leave in plenty of time and re-check your briefing/arrival times

Contacts – Make sure you have the onsite contact ready in your phone, just in case you end up at the wrong gate or you’re waylaid by roadworks!

We’ll see you there!

I just wanted to send out a big thank you to you and your team for all the work you and the team put into helping make the traffic and transport operation work so well this year.

As it was a pleasure having DC site services as part of our team. I think the GFEL team of contractors is the envy of a lot of events in the way we all support each other and it was noted by some observers that stated the following :-

"simply put, GFEL’s off-site traffic management plan was delivered and managed in a totally consistent and defensible manner that sought to promote good practice, collaboration and road safety to the benefit of all road users."

The DC are big part of that delivery and should take some of the credit for that delivery.
